Planning & Delay Analyst

Role Description This is a Planning & Delay Analyst role based in Doha, Qatar, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows some work remotely. The Planning & Delay Analyst will develop, maintain, and update project programs, analyze delays, and assess their impact on time and cost across construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing forensic delay analysis, preparing reports and dashboards on schedule performance and key milestones, and supporting claims preparation and defense with robust planning evidence. The role involves working closely with project managers, commercial teams, and in house Directors to interpret contract requirements, contribute to extension-of-time assessments, and present findings. The Delay Analyst will also support continuous improvement in planning practices and help align project schedules with contractual obligations and key performance indicators.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have minimum 5 years of experience and are available in Qatar.
• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for forensic delay analysis, data interpretation, and impact assessments.
• Candidates should possess Planning skills, including experience with project scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and program development.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for reports, presentations, and stakeholder engagement.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work with Key Performance Indicators and project metrics to track schedule and claims-related performance.
• Relevant experience in construction, engineering, or claims consultancy, ideally within large infrastructure or complex projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, or a related discipline; professional certifications in planning or project controls are an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with contract forms (e.g., FIDIC or similar) is beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
