Planning Engineer - Buildings

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our supervision consultancy team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for building construction projects. Candidates must have UAE consultant/supervision experience and be proficient in Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
• Review and assess contractors baseline programs, recovery plans, and revised schedules
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule variances, delays, and critical path activities
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
• Analyze project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and schedule analysis techniques
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Project Managers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are achieved
• Review contractors resource loading, procurement schedules, and manpower deployment
• Assess Extension of Time (EOT) claims and provide planning recommendations
• Participate in project meetings and present schedule updates to clients and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and client reporting standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE
• Mandatory experience with a Supervision Consultant/Engineering Consultancy in the UAE
• Strong experience in building projects such as residential, commercial, mixed-use, high-rise, hotels, or villas
• Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, EOT, and delay analysis
