Key Responsibilities for Planning Engineer (Interior Fit-Out & Turnkey Projects)
- Develop, update, and monitor detailed project schedules using advanced planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment of project timelines with objectives.
- Analyze project progress, identify potential delays, and propose corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
- Prepare detailed project reports, including progress updates, forecasts, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all planning activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Support the project team in decision-making by providing accurate scheduling data and analysis.
- Monitor subcontractors planning and progress to align with overall project schedules.
- Participate in project planning meetings and support tender planning submissions when required.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, construction sequencing, and key deliverables.
Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 510 years experience as a Planning Engineer in the UAE construction industry, preferably in interior fit-out and turnkey projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar planning software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management principles, and resource allocation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Prior experience in UAE construction projects is highly desirable.
