Job Description
James L Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced and proactive Planning Engineer to join our Planning team and support the successful delivery of major Data Centre construction projects in KSA.
This role is responsible for developing and updating project programmes, monitoring site progress, preparing planning reports, and supporting baseline programmes, delay notifications, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions to ensure projects remain aligned with approved schedules.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update MEP work programmes in alignment with the Main Contractor's programme.
- Perform resource loading and cost loading of project programmes.
- Develop and maintain site progress tracking and reporting formats based on project programmes, drawings, and BOQs.
- Monitor daily site progress and report project status to the Project Manager and Planning Manager.
- Prepare micro programmes based on project requirements and priorities.
- Prepare weekly progress reports covering material approvals, drawing approvals, construction progress, and commissioning progress.
- Record and track project delays, including delays caused by other site contractors.
- Prepare and submit fortnightly and monthly progress reports comparing actual progress against the approved work programme.
- Support the Project Director and Planning Manager in preparing delay notices in accordance with subcontract conditions.
- Assist the Planning Manager in the preparation and submission of Baseline Programmes.
- Support the preparation and submission of Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of MEP activities to support effective project planning and delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant planning experience within construction / Data centre / MEP projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Primavera.
- Experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring, resource/cost loading, and planning reporting.
- Good understanding of baseline programmes, delay monitoring, and EOT processes.
- Strong programme planning and implementation skills.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to identify project issues and recommend improvements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in computers and relevant planning/software applications.
