Job Title: Planning Engineer Section Head – Arabic Speaker

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer Section Head to lead planning and project controls activities for high-end villa construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for project scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning, delay analysis, reporting, and leading a team of planning engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Planning leadership roles commonly involve schedule development, progress tracking, risk management, resource planning, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning department for multiple villa construction projects.
- Develop, review, and maintain baseline schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
- Identify project risks, delays, and critical path activities, and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Subcontractors.
- Manage resource loading, productivity analysis, and forecasting.
- Review subcontractor programs and ensure alignment with master schedules.
- Support Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.
- Establish project control procedures and planning standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planning engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 8–12+ years of construction experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership planning role.
- Proven experience in villa, residential, or luxury housing projects in the UAE/GCC.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, scheduling, earned value analysis, and construction methodologies.
