Job Purpose
The Planning Team Lead will be responsible for leading planning and scheduling activities across multiple construction projects, ensuring effective project controls, accurate reporting, and alignment with project objectives, timelines, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the planning team across assigned projects.
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Establish planning standards, methodologies, and best practices across projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation plans.
- Prepare and review baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and revised programs.
- Coordinate closely with project managers, construction teams, and commercial teams.
- Oversee progress measurement, look-ahead schedules, and critical path analysis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for internal and client review.
- Support claims, variations, and extension of time (EOT) submissions from a planning perspective.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and client reporting standards.
- Mentor and develop junior planning engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in planning and project controls within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in a lead or supervisory planning role.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory).
- Solid experience on large-scale building, infrastructure, or mixed-use projects.
- Good understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project lifecycles.
- Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
