Job Description

Our client is a Singapore-headquartered semiconductor organisation with a strong manufacturing presence. They are looking to appoint a Plant Controller to take ownership of the financial management and performance of their manufacturing operations.

This is a key finance business partnering role, working closely with the Plant Manager and senior operations leadership to drive cost efficiency, improve plant profitability, strengthen financial controls and provide actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making. Talents with experience in semiconductorcor other high-volume and highly automated manufacturing environments will be strongly considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the plant's financial management, reporting and month-end closing

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for the manufacturing plant

• Drive cost accounting, standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis, covering materials, labour and manufacturing overheads

• Monitor inventory valuation, inventory movements and working capital

• Partner closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Quality and HR to identify cost optimisation and operational improvement opportunities

• Monitor CAPEX spending, evaluate business cases and support long-term investment planning

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies, standards and regulatory requirements

• Manage and support internal and external audits

• Lead, coach and develop the plant finance and accounting team

• Present plant financial performance, key KPIs, risks and improvement opportunities to plant leadership and senior management

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline

• CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred

• 5–10 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Strong experience in plant controlling, manufacturing finance and cost accounting

• Good understanding of manufacturing cost drivers, inventory accounting, standard costing, budgeting and forecasting

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and business partnering capabilities

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems

• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with and influence operational and senior stakeholders

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing finance professional to take ownership of a key manufacturing site, partner closely with senior operational stakeholders and play a direct role in driving cost efficiency, profitability and operational performance within a Singapore-headquartered semiconductor organisation.
