Plant Lead - HR & Admin

ROLE CONTEXT & PURPOSE
Himalaya is setting up a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing setup in Dubai. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 3 billion tablets, 15 million syrup bottles, and three million units of ointment, with plans to serve global volumes until 2030. The facility will incorporate the latest technology for pharmaceutical product manufacturing, filling, and packing, with automation in warehousing operations to enhance efficiency. Looking for a self-driven and results-oriented to lead HR and Admin at our new greenfield facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with the plants goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and other employment-related laws.
- Oversee recruitment and manning for the plant from the greenfield stage.
- Manage employee relations, including addressing employee grievances, conflicts, and other workplace issues.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonus programs, and employee benefits.
- Drive employee engagement across all cadres within the plant.
- Manage and oversee plant administration, including and not limited to visas, canteen, transportation, etc.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental policies.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE + EXPOSURE + EDUCATION
- MBA HR is preferable, equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in HR Business Partnering with mandatory experience of UAE plant HR, with a minimum of 3 years experience in a plant HR & Admin setup.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labour laws and regulations.
- Experience of greenfield project, start-up experience will be preferred.
