Plant Lead - Production

ROLE CONTEXT & PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly experienced Production Lead to oversee our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with a proven track record in managing audits and implementing SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities- Production Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of pharmaceutical production, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
- Develop, implement, and optimize production plans and schedules aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production processes, address issues promptly, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- SAP Implementation and Optimization:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP Production Planning (PP) and other relevant modules.
- Collaborate with IT and SAP consultants to tailor solutions to production needs.
- Provide training and support to production staff on SAP functionalities.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to pharmaceutical industry standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections and certifications.
- Implement and oversee corrective and preventive actions to address audit findings.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Analyze production data to drive informed decision-making.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage, mentor, and develop the production team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Resource Management:
- Oversee the management of production resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Develop and control production budgets to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Ensure the maintenance and proper functioning of production equipment.
- Supplier and Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of raw materials and components.
- Address and resolve supplier-related issues and drive improvements in the supply chain.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production processes.
- Provide timely and detailed reports on production performance to senior management.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Qualifications
- Pharmacist graduates with any advanced degree or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in production management within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with SAP Production Planning (PP) and other relevant SAP modules.
- Extensive experience in managing audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
