We're Hiring: Plant Maintenance Manager / PMV Lead

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Plant Maintenance Manager / PMV Lead to oversee the planning, operation, maintenance, and utilization of Plant, Machinery, and Vehicles across our yard and projects.
The successful candidate will lead the PMV and maintenance team, ensure equipment availability and reliability, manage preventive and breakdown maintenance, optimize asset utilization and maintenance costs, and provide effective technical support to project and yard operations while maintaining high QHSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule, and monitor PMV and plant maintenance activities in coordination with project and yard operational requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and corrective actions for plant, machinery, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Assess equipment, machinery, vehicle, and tool requirements and coordinate hiring, procurement, replacement, and resource allocation.
• Ensure the safe, reliable, and operational condition of all PMV assets through regular inspections and effective preventive maintenance programs.
• Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate equipment and maintenance records.
• Monitor equipment breakdowns, performance, utilization, downtime, and maintenance costs and provide periodic reports to management.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and monitor inventory levels to minimize equipment downtime.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, including preventive and breakdown maintenance, running-hour/mileage records, statutory inspections, annual passing, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate temporary hiring and off hiring of vehicles, equipment, machinery, and tools based on project requirements.
• Oversee plant, workshop, and facility maintenance activities, including electrical systems, HVAC/AC, water systems, CCTV, telecommunications infrastructure, and related services.
• Coordinate with Stores and third-party agencies for calibration of tools, lifting equipment, instruments, and other applicable assets.
• Raise and track Purchase Requisitions for equipment, tools, spare parts, maintenance services, and other PMV requirements.
• Provide PMV technical and manpower support to project and yard activities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry works.
• Coordinate with subcontractors involved in plant, workshop, facility, and yard maintenance activities.
• Maintain comprehensive PMV documentation, asset registers, equipment history, inspection records, maintenance records, and other documentation required for internal and external audits.
• Support waste management activities, including disposal of scrap equipment and machinery, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Prepare PMV performance, utilization, breakdown, downtime, and maintenance reports and recommend asset replacement or acquisition based on project and operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, maintenance cost optimization, improved equipment reliability, and increased asset utilization.
• Lead, supervise, and develop PMV Engineers, Supervisors, Technicians, and maintenance personnel, ensuring effective manpower utilization and competency development.
• Manage departmental administration, including leave planning, attendance, training records, performance inputs, and workforce discipline.
• Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies, statutory requirements, manufacturer recommendations, and safe working practices across all PMV and maintenance activities.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Management.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role managing plant, machinery, vehicles, equipment, facilities, or maintenance operations.
Technical Qualification: Relevant professional training or maintenance certifications are preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, plant and equipment maintenance, PMV/fleet management, maintenance planning, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, resource management, cost control, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Software: Proficient in MS Office. Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or similar systems is required. Exposure to CMMS or computerized maintenance management systems is an advantage.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment and fleet management, equipment reliability, statutory inspections, calibration, spare parts management, asset utilization, facility maintenance, and yard maintenance operations.
