Plant Manager Experience in Food industry from 9 to 15 Years
Senior Plant Manager Purpose:
To lead and manage the Bakery and Meat departments within the Central Processing Unit, ensuring efficient production planning, food safety compliance, and quality assurance. The role requires an engineering background with proven experience in high-volume food production and carries full accountability for operational performance and workforce management across both departments.
Responsibilities:
Plan and oversee daily production operations across the Bakery and Meat departments.
Apply engineering knowledge to optimize equipment performance, plant efficiency, and
maintenance programs.
Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and GMP
requirements.
Lead, schedule, and develop a multi-disciplinary production team.
Coordinate with Operations and branch teams to meet ordering and delivery
requirements.
Monitor KPIs, control costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records for traceability, compliance, and finance purposes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
Food Safety, HACCP, or Production Management certification is a plus.
Minimum 7 years in food production management, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
Hands-on experience in bakery and/or meat departments within a CPU or manufacturing
facility.
Strong knowledge of bakery processes, meat processing, cold chain, and food safety
regulations (HACCP, GMP).
Engineering proficiency in optimizing production lines and equipment performance.
Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with ERP or production management systems is an advantage.
