Key Responsibilities
- Production enough quantity with best quality for plants to meet company requirments and suppliyng contracts.
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of all plants, tracking stock levels, and forecasting future production needs to align with project pipelines.
- Training labor and stuff with operation in nursery, like irrigation, propagation, burning all maintanance.
- Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, yearly production plans.
- Preparing daily, weekly, monthly, yearly reports.
- Overseeing all aspects of plant propagation, including seeding, cuttings, and grafting, to meet production targets.
- Managing the daily care and maintenance of all nursery stock, which involves watering, feeding, and pruning to ensure optimal health and growth.
- Implementing and managing integrated pest and disease control programes to protect plant quality.
- Ensuring all plants meet the company's high-quality standards before being supplied to landscaping projects.
- Collaborating with the landscape design and project execution teams to ensure the timely availability of specified plant species.
- Maintaining the nursery's infrastructure, including irrigation systems, to ensure efficient and sustainable operations.
- Keeping the nursery environment clean, safe, and well-organized.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience working in a commercial plant nursery or a similar horticultural production environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of plant propagation techniques, soil science, and plant nutrition.
- In-depth understanding of pest and disease identification and control methods.
- Familiarity with the diverse range of plants, trees, and shrubs suitable for the climate in Riyadh and the wider region.
- Experience operating and maintaining nursery equipment and irrigation systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A formal qualification (degree or diploma) in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment.
