Job Summary**
Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for the manufacturing operations of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and favorable agreements.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and inventory departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and industry trends.
- Resolve disputes and discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, shipments, and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant purchasing regulations and company procurement policies.
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing department.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of supplier management and inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards and specifications relevant to the can manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
