We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build and optimise enterprise platforms across cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who combines deep technical expertise with customer ownership and commercial awareness. You will operate autonomously, become a trusted technical advisor to customers, support complex engagements and help raise the capability of the wider Platform Engineering team.
You will also have the opportunity to support pre-sales, identify account growth opportunities and mentor junior engineers.
What you'll do:
- Design, deploy and optimise platforms across the full technology stack
- Own platform life cycle, including availability, scalability, security and performance
- Engineer enterprise Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes environments
- Automate delivery and operations using mature DevSecOps, CI/CD and GitOps practices
- Act as the primary technical relationship owner for customer engagements
- Resolve complex platform and MKS issues and lead critical incident resolution
- Identify continuous improvement, automation and standardisation opportunities
- Mentor Platform Engineers and Junior Platform Engineers and review delivery quality
- Support sales, solution design, proposals and pricing
- Identify up-sell and extension opportunities within existing customer accounts
- Manage delivery scope, utilisation and margin to protect commercial outcomes
- Travel across the Middle East, Africa and internationally as required.
Requirements
Required experience:
- 6+ years hands-on Red Hat OpenShift experience
- Strong full-stack capability across at least two of:
- OpenShift Platform Plus | Ansible | AWS | Kafka | Observability
- Proven experience with multiple Red Hat technologies
- Strong CI/CD and GitOps experience: ArgoCD, Flux, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Experience with Prometheus/Grafana and/or Elastic
- Proven RHEL administration at scale
- Experience managing customers from both a technical and commercial perspective
- Experience mentoring and supporting other engineers
- Ability to work independently across multiple concurrent customer engagements
Required Certifications:
- Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA)
- Minimum 3 Red Hat certifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- CKAD or CKS advantageous
- AWS certification(s) advantageous
