To prepare accurate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination layouts for swimming pool plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, authority regulations, and design intent. The role focuses on supporting engineers and site teams in the successful execution of pool piping, filtration, and water circulation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting & Design
- Prepare plumbing shop drawings for swimming pool and water feature systems using AutoCAD.
- Draft piping layouts, pump room details, suction and return lines, balancing tanks, overflow channels, and filtration system connections.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to project specifications, consultant standards, and authority requirements.
- Revise drawings based on engineers and consultants comments and maintain version control.
2. Coordination
- Coordinate with structural, electrical, and mechanical teams to avoid clashes in drawings.
- Incorporate civil and architectural interfaces such as manholes, equipment bases, and pool wall penetrations.
- Use Navisworks / Revit for model coordination and clash detection if required.
- Assist in preparing composite drawings for final submission.
3. Documentation & Submittals
- Prepare and maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and transmittals.
- Support engineers in preparing shop drawing submittals, as-built packages, and O&M documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and updates as per project schedule.
4. Site Support
- Provide site teams with the latest approved drawings and clarifications.
- Conduct site visits to verify installed works and update as-built drawings accordingly.
- Assist in identifying discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
5. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, BS, ASTM, or local authority regulations).
- Follow internal CAD standards, layer management, and naming conventions.
- Maintain drawing accuracy and quality at all times.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Drafting, Plumbing, or related field.
- Proficiency in: AutoCAD (2D mandatory; 3D preferred) ,Navisworks / Revit MEP (advantage) MS Office
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in swimming pool or MEP drafting within the UAE or GCC.
- Good knowledge of swimming pool plumbing systems, including filtration, backwash, drainage, and water features.
