Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Foreman
Job Summary
The Mechanical & Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all MEP site activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and according to approved drawings and specifications. The role involves managing technicians, monitoring daily progress, and coordinating with engineers, contractors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical and electrical installation works on site.
- Assign daily tasks to technicians and ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Read and interpret MEP drawings, layouts, and specifications.
- Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings, project standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with site engineers, civil teams, and subcontractors to avoid clashes and delays.
- Monitor materials, tools, and manpower requirements and report shortages.
- Conduct site inspections and rectify issues or non-conformances.
- Ensure health, safety, and housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Report daily progress and issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related trade.
- Proven experience as an MEP Foreman or similar role on construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, power, lighting, ELV).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Good leadership and team coordination skills.
- Familiar with site safety practices and regulations.
