Role Purpose
The PMO Finance Analyst - Airports owns the financial controls and reporting for the programme, maintaining accurate budgets, forecasts, actuals and variance analysis that give leadership a reliable view of programme financial health.
The role partners closely with the PMO Manager, Program Director and finance function to control cost, support commercial obligations and protect programme margin in a large, multi-vendor delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Forecasting
- Maintain the programme budget, forecasts, accruals and actuals, tracking spend against plan.
- Perform variance analysis and support monthly financial close and reporting.
- Model financial scenarios and support cost-to-complete and estimate-at-completion analysis.
Commercial Support
- Track contractual milestones and deliverables to support invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Support purchase orders, supplier costs and change-request financial impact assessment.
- Maintain the link between schedule, resource and cost data for earned-value reporting.
Reporting & Assurance
- Produce clear financial dashboards and reports for the PMO, leadership and the client.
- Support audit, controls and compliance requirements across the programme.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Programme finance: Solid experience in programme/project financial control, budgeting and forecasting.
- Analysis: Strong variance analysis, cost tracking and financial modelling skills.
- Tooling: Advanced Excel and experience with finance/ERP and reporting tools (e.g. SAP, Power BI).
- Commercial awareness: Understanding of revenue recognition, POs, accruals and change financials.
- Accuracy: High attention to detail and strong controls discipline.
Desirable
- Experience on large technology or infrastructure programmes.
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Familiarity with earned-value management.
- Exposure to aviation/airport or MSI commercial models.
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Accountancy qualification (part-qualified/qualified) desirable.
