A leading diversified holding group based in Abu Dhabi, UAE is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
Job purpose
- Drive successful implementation of the EPMO team's strategy, services and deliverables
- Establish frameworks and standards for Project and Program Management
- Support delivery and monitoring of ad hoc strategic and special projects
Roles and responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end process of identifying, developing, prioritizing, and implementing the highest-impact, most strategic projects and programs in the organization
- Establish frameworks to manage initiatives, including methodologies, tools, and organizational structures
- Prioritize initiatives for implementation and ensure alignment with strategy
- Determine key steps and milestones for implementing initiatives in coordination with business owners
- Identify interdependencies between initiatives, and manage risks and escalation at both the individual and aggregate levels
- Report project progress, achievements, interdependencies, risks, and challenges to management
- Manage assigned EPMO manpower across initiatives and conduct regular manpower planning and allocation
- Set priorities for tasks and categorize them according to previously set standards
- Maintain the organizational structure and roles within each initiative's ecosystem
- Support business owners and sponsors in uplifting the quality of project plans and other project and initiative artifacts
- Review quality and performance reports and perform quality assurance on all initiative deliverables/outputs
- Manage and monitor change requests, ensuring adherence to approved policies
- Define training needs for initiative teams, recommend relevant training courses, and monitor their effectiveness
- Support the delivery and monitoring of ad hoc strategic and special business projects
- Conduct research, analysis, and other strategic activities in collaboration with the Strategy team as required
Years of experience, qualifications & skills
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Project Management Office role
Field of experience
- Experience managing a PMO within a holding company structure
- Led implementations from ideation through post-closing of initiatives across disciplines such as CX, Procurement, HR, Marketing, Data, Innovation, and Process Improvement
