Are you an experienced maritime professional with a strong background in port operations for large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects in the oil and gas sector We are seeking a highly skilled Port Captain to oversee and coordinate all marine activities supporting our project execution.

As the Port Captain, you will play a critical leadership role ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant movement of vessels, cargo, and project equipmentworking closely with marine contractors, logistics teams, engineering groups, and client stakeholders.

Your Role

As Port Captain, you will:

• Lead and manage all port and marine operations related to EPC project logistics.
• Supervise vessel berthing, cargo handling, mobilization/demobilization, and port-side activities.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, HSE standards, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, marine contractors, and freight forwarders.
• Review and validate marine procedures, method statements, and vessel documentation.
• Provide technical guidance on vessel selection, load-out operations, and heavy-lift logistics.
• Monitor vessel performance, schedule adherence, and operational readiness.
• Support project planning with accurate forecasting of port operations and marine resource needs.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years experience in marine operations, including roles as Port Captain, Marine Superintendent, or Offshore Captain.
• Education: Master Mariner (Class 1 CoC) or equivalent maritime qualification preferred.
• Expertise : Strong background in EPC or major capital projects within the oil & gas or offshore energy sectors. Proven experience overseeing port logistics, heavy-lift operations, barge/tug management, and marine safety. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of HSE principles, ISM, SOLAS, IMDG, and port regulations.
