Job Description

The POS Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical support for POS systems, servers, and related infrastructure. The role includes troubleshooting field issues, maintaining system performance, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting integrations with clients and vendors. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple operational, development, and field teams to ensure seamless POS service delivery.

Responsibilities

POS Systems Support & Troubleshooting

  • Manage and resolve all POS technical issues, including maintenance and hardwarerelated problems.
  • Support POS deployment, maintenance, and field teams in troubleshooting onsite issues.
  • Provide advanced technical support for POS servers (N-Genius, Ingenico, Verifone).
  • Handle POS wireless connectivity and networking issues in coordination with ISPs.

Servers & Databases Management

  • Maintain and monitor POS servers and the Installment Server.
  • Manage POS profiles and perform backups/maintenance on Terminal Management Systems (TMS).
  • Support and maintain POS databases (MSSQL), including reporting, queries, and data integrity.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and support activity reports.

Compliance, Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct POS application testing and participate in Quality Assurance cycles.
  • Test, validate, and deploy new POS technologies and software updates.
  • Ensure POS terminals comply with Schemes requirements and PCI-DSS mandates.

Integration, Licensing & Vendor/Client Coordination

  • Manage POS integration requests, licenses, and configuration updates with clients and vendors.
  • Support development and testing teams regarding terminal configurations and system enhancements.

Ticketing & Operational Control

  • Manage ticketing/tracking systems and follow up on maintenance actions.
  • Provide technical support to the POS Repair Center for hardware diagnostics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics/Communication/Computer) or equivalent.
  • 02 years of experience in technical support or POS/ITrelated fields.
  • Good electronics background and basic hardware understanding.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems and SQL fundamentals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication, problemsolving, and multitasking skills.
  • Customeroriented with the ability to handle multiple cases efficiently.
