Job Purpose
To lead, coordinate, and support the day-to-day production operations within the poultry processing plant, ensuring welfare, quality, and efficiency are achieved without compromise. You turn plans into practice, guiding your operators to work safely, consistently, and ethically in every aspect of slaughter, chilling, cutting, or
packaging. You're not just managing output, you're building culture, one shift at a time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all assigned zones (slaughter, evisceration, chilling, cutting, or packaging) for productivity, hygiene, and compliance.
- Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and verify adherence to SOPs and halal protocols.
- Maintain strict oversight of welfare and humane handling standards from live bird intake to finished product.
- Ensure continuous line flow by coordinating with maintenance and utilities teams for timely interventions.
- Monitor product presentation, portioning accuracy, and labelling integrity.
- Conduct pre-operation checks and end-of-shift sanitation sign-offs.
- Train and mentor operators in food safety, hygiene, and ethical conduct.
- Report deviations, stoppages, or incidents to the Processing Manager immediately.
- Promote a respectful, safe, and motivated work environment, no shouting, no shortcuts.
