Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence (BI) solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate should have experience working with large datasets, transforming data into interactive dashboards and reports that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data insights effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications and Power BI reports.
- Work with different data sources (SQL databases, Excel, cloud data, APIs) to integrate and prepare datasets for Power BI.
- Perform data modeling, data cleansing, and data transformation using Power Query and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Implement row-level security (RLS) to restrict access to data based on user roles.
- Schedule and configure data refreshes to ensure dashboards and reports are updated regularly with the latest data.
- Optimize and improve the performance of Power BI dashboards and reports for efficiency.
- Provide training and support to users on Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Stay updated with new Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve reporting solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in Power BI development, reporting, and visualization.
- Proficiency in using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
- Strong skills in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating custom calculations and measures.
- Experience with data integration, working with databases (e.g. SQL, ClickHouse), and connecting to external data sources will be consider a strong advantage.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver data solutions.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
