Job Description

Currie & Brown is looking for a Power BI Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

As a Power BI Specialist, you'll work closely with our project, commercial and business teams to develop data-driven solutions, improve reporting and turn complex information into clear, actionable insights.

What will you be doing

  • Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Building robust data models and developing DAX measures and calculations
  • Using Power Query to transform, clean and prepare data from multiple sources
  • Working closely with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions
  • Developing dashboards covering project performance, cost management, financial and operational KPIs
  • Ensuring data accuracy, consistency and quality across reporting solutions
  • Optimising existing Power BI reports and improving their performance and usability
  • Automating manual reporting processes and identifying opportunities to improve business efficiency
  • Managing Power BI workspaces, security and access where required
  • Providing guidance and support to colleagues on Power BI and data visualisation
  • Keeping up to date with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and wider data and analytics developments

What do you need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven professional experience in Power BI development
  • Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills
  • Experience working with multiple data sources and developing integrated reporting solutions
  • Previous experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on data accuracy
  • Previous experience within a construction consultancy, engineering, property, infrastructure or professional services environment is preferred
  • Experience with project controls, cost management or commercial reporting is beneficial
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure or other Microsoft data technologies is an advantage
  • Microsoft Power BI certification is preferred
