Renewable / Power Risk Engineer Expat Tax free 120k - 130k net plus fantastic benefits
Minimum Requirements
- At least a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. mechanical / civil / electrical)
- >8 years prior industrial experience in the conventional power generation industry (i.e. gas fired / oil fired / coal fired)
- >1 year prior experience of working as a risk engineer for a broker or insurer having led surveys for both operational and construction of power generation facilities
- Fluent in English
- Ability to travel freely around the region (KSA, Pakistan, Oman, etc.)
- Optional but looked favourably upon: Hold Chartership with a relevant authority (e.g. IMechE, EI, etc.); fluency in Arabic or French; experience of renewable power generation
Key Roles / Responsibilities
- Risk engineering surveys across conventional power and renewables approx. 30% operational (Oman, UAE, Pakistan and Morocco) and approx. 70% construction (mostly in KSA)
- Development of new power risk engineering services and products
- Support RFPs & prospecting
- Technical leadership - training for other risk engineers (and brokers)
