About the Job
The PR & Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing the communication strategy that enhances the assets reputation, builds brand equity, and strengthens relationships with media, influencers, partners, and key stakeholders.
This role oversees all aspects of public relations, media relations, social communications, corporate communications, and handling all social media accounts ensuring consistent storytelling across owned, earned, and shared channels.
The position works closely with the Area Director of Marketing to ensure alignment of messages across internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Public Relations & Media Engagement
- Develop and implement PR strategies that support the assets marketing and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and international media.
- Work along with the PR agency to craft press releases, media kits, and briefing materials to communicate key announcements, openings, and initiatives.
- Proactively pitch stories and manage press coverage to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Ensure visibility of the assets in both UAE and key feeder markets (where applicable).
Influencer & Partnership Management
- Identify and manage collaborations with influencers, bloggers, and brand partners aligned with target audiences.
- Oversee content creation and ensure brand alignment across all partnerships and social PR activations.
Corporate & Crisis Communications
- Serve as the communications lead during sensitive or crisis situations, ensuring consistent and appropriate messaging.
- Support corporate reputation management, including CSR and sustainability communication initiatives.
- Prepare executive communication materials such as speeches, talking points, and internal memos.
Social & Digital Communications
- Oversee the company's social media narrative in collaboration with the brand marketing team, ensuring consistent tone of voice and engagement.
- Monitor online sentiment and manage responses to PR-related issues across digital platforms.
- Handle all social media accounts of the assets and run paid campaigns in collaboration with the social media agency.
Events & Media Activations
- Plan and execute press events, media familiarization trips, and launch activations.
- Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and brand consistency.
Reporting & Insights
- Track and analyse media coverage and PR performance metrics.
- Provide reports and insights on brand perception, share of voice, and campaign impact.
About You
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
- Advanced degree or hospitality PR certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 57 years of experience in PR or communications, ideally within the hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle sectors.
- Established media relationships across travel, lifestyle, and business publications.
- Experience managing crisis communications and corporate reputation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong understanding of media relations, influencer marketing, and social PR.
- Confident spokesperson with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and brand alignment.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
