The Pres-Sales Director will serve as a pivotal leader within EMDAD, driving the Bid Management activities to align with organizational objectives and national standards. This senior-management role requires a strategic visionary to oversee the development and optimization of high-quality proposal submissions and competitive bid preparations. The ideal candidate will contribute to the Sales & Account Management Sector's business plan, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness within the Bidding Management Department. This individual will lead the negotiation processes with clients, ensuring that all proposals and contracts reflect EMDAD's value proposition while maintaining compliance with internal policies and the legal framework. The Pres-Sales Director will also monitor market trends and adapt strategies to enhance the organization's competitive positioning, making them a key player in fostering strategic collaborations and partnerships.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in bid management, proposal development, and contract negotiations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is required; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of bidding management methodologies, proposal development techniques, and compliance requirements within the industry.
  • Proficient in conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and bid strategies.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to bidding processes and sales performance.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to foster team collaboration and drive high performance across diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and legal teams.
  • Experience in strategic partnership development and fostering relationships that lead to business growth and enhanced bidding opportunities.
  • Highly adaptable and capable of managing change in a fast-paced environment; skilled in problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic vision and operational plan for the Bidding Management Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators to benchmark progress and optimize bidding processes and outcomes.
  • Establish and communicate the framework and methodologies governing all aspects of bidding management across the organization.
  • Lead and optimize resource allocation within the Bidding Management team, making recommendations for continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Financially manage the Bidding Management Department by preparing budget requirements that align with strategic plans and operational needs.
  • Systematize procedures for bid preparation, ensuring all actions are compliant with legislative requirements and internal policies.
  • Supervise market research and benchmarking initiatives to analyze industry best practices and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Guide the analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs), ensuring alignment with client expectations in proposal submissions.
  • Spearhead the development of customized proposals that highlight EMDAD's unique offerings, illustrating value to clients.
  • Collaborate with internal departments including Legal, Finance, and Solution Architecture to finalize proposal terms, ensuring a competitive edge in bidding efforts.
  • Foster strategic partnerships that expand EMDAD's market reach and enhance collaboration on bids and proposals.
  • Ensure all submissions are in compliance with legal standards and aligned with corporate policy, reducing risks associated with contracts.
  • Lead negotiations with potential clients to resolve queries, finalize terms, and secure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of sales documents necessary for contract execution, ensuring clarity and compliance throughout.
  • Maintain a centralized and accessible repository of all presales and sales documentation, ensuring version control and efficient retrieval.
  • Monitor performance metrics through EMDAD's sales dashboard, analyzing outcomes to inform and refine future bidding strategies.
  • Review sales performance reports to identify trends and challenges, leading to enhanced bidding approaches and methodologies.
  • Facilitate training programs aimed at improving team capabilities in product offerings, bidding best practices, and proposal development.
  • Ensure seamless transitions and handover of contracts to implementation teams, coordinating with Relationship Management for service delivery excellence.
  • Provide continuous feedback and support to team members through formal and informal performance management efforts.
