Role Overview
Presales Group Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Presales team, ensuring high-quality technical and sales support for channel partners and key members of the sales organization. The role focuses on driving team performance to support deal success, competitive wins, and successful Proof of Concepts (POCs) with positive customer feedback.
Key Responsibilities (People & Team Management Focus)
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the Presales team, ensuring alignment with business and sales objectives;
- Set team goals, priorities, and performance expectations in line with territory sales targets;
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional development to presales engineers;
- Identify skill gaps within the team and define individual development plans;
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical or presales challenges;
Presales Strategy & Execution
- Ensure high-quality presales support for sales teams and channel partners in customer engagements;
- Oversee execution of POCs, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and positive outcomes;
- Support the sales organization in positioning company expertise and solutions against competitors;
- Ensure commercially viable solutions are designed based on customer requirements and product portfolio;
Channel Enablement & Partner Development
- Work closely with territory channel teams to identify and address technical knowledge gaps;
- Maintain strong relationships with key partners to improve joint presales effectiveness;
Customer & Market Engagement
- Participate in strategic customer engagements upon management request;
- Represent the company's brand, products, and solutions at conferences, events, and partner meetings;
- Collect market and partner feedback to improve presales processes and messaging;
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science;
- IT and/or Information Security certifications are preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in Information Security;
- Proven experience in presales, technical sales, or solution architecture;
- Prior experience in team leadership or mentoring is a must;
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written);
- Solid understanding of security technologies;
- Strong knowledge of company products and competitive solutions will be an advantage;
- Ability to balance people management with hands-on presales involvement.
