Pricing Specialist

Job Summary:

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for preparing complete technical and commercial quotations for Caterpillar Construction Equipment and Material Handling products. The role supports the Sales Team by providing accurate pricing, equipment configurations, and commercial proposals to drive successful sales execution across Mantrac Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze customer requirements to identify the most suitable equipment models, configurations, and specifications.
• Prepare accurate and competitive technical and commercial quotations for Caterpillar Construction Equipment and Material Handling products.
• Calculate deal pricing in accordance with company price lists, pricing policies, discount structures, and approved commercial programs.
• Submit and follow up on Special Price Assistance Requests (SPAR) with Caterpillar to secure additional support for strategic opportunities.
• Execute SPAR washouts and ensure proper documentation and tracking.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Representatives to develop competitive customer proposals.
• Ensure all quotations include the required technical, commercial, and financial details.
• Maintain and update equipment price lists to reflect the latest pricing changes and policies.
• Administer Caterpillar Focus Programs and process related claims until credit notes are received.
• Prepare and process equipment orders with Caterpillar factories and suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding cost estimates and order-related financial requirements.
• Support sales activities by providing product information, pricing analysis, and commercial recommendations.
• Maintain accurate quotation records and reports for management review.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or a related discipline).

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in pricing, quotations, sales support, commercial operations, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, material handling, automotive, or industrial industries is preferred.

Language Skills

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Technical Competencies

• Basic technical knowledge of Caterpillar Construction Equipment and Material Handling products.
• Understanding of pricing structures, quotations, and commercial proposals.
• Ability to analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
• Knowledge of order processing and commercial documentation.
