Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and organized self-starter to join as a Program Manager for the Last Mile team to support Pricing and Capacity Charters within AMZL and Quick Commerce. This person will own the development of effective pricing strategies by monitoring market dynamics, competitor behavior, and macroeconomic indicators in Logistics and Quick Commerce, and building indicator mechanisms that enable capacity planning / pricing team to proactively react. This person will obsess about accountability mechanisms and data accuracy. He/She will support the delivery of the roadmap for the programs or metrics, manage and create closed-loop mechanisms, and reduce defects.

This role will play a critical part in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data-driven insights that serve as the foundation for pricing / Capacity decisions across different cities and market segments. He/she will influence pricing / capacity / Ops and BC teams with ground-truth metrics from the data source to the field. This role is critical to develop a strategy for data quality and expand our measurable and accountability signals.

He/she will investigate customer anecdotes, keeping a sharp eye where experience does not match the data. We are seeking bar-raising candidates who are able to:

  • Understand the complexity of our metrics, deep dive data, and work with engineering and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Map signals to the ground truth of the behaviors that drivers engage in while on route.
  • Overcome obstacles and work across teams to deliver high-quality deliverables on time. Balance when to dive deep and when to move forward with limited information.
  • Understand complex use-cases, connect the dots between various processes and systems, and invent to create solutions that are easy to understand and scale
  • Identify, develop and enhance performance products that will improve the safety, quality, and speed of customers shipments
  • Develop effective scaling mechanisms, influence strategies/ decisions and help with difficult trade-offs
  • Operate and deliver in a fast-paced environment

Basic qualifications

  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, including design, development, test, build, deployment processes and timelines
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of driving process improvements experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
