Algihaz Holding is looking for a talented Primary Design Engineer to join our team in Cairo. This onsite role.
What you'll do
- Design of electrical power substations. This includes preparing drawings such as Layout, Sections, and details for substations as well as grounding, reinforcement layout, and Cable Routing plans.
- Develop and evaluate conceptual substation design options to initiate transmission and distribution system projects.
- Perform engineering analysis/calculations to support substation designs, including but not limited to grounding analysis per standards, and shielding studies for lightning protection, AC/DC Load calculation, Raceway and Openings.
- Coordinate substation construction package detailing foundation and electrical designs with civil team.
- Identify, specify, and requisition all required substation materials required to build the substation with a working knowledge of substation equipment including but not limited to equipment's, grounding cable routing, Cables & transformers.
- Provide technical assistance during the construction of projects.
- Follow up on daily basis with the design submittal approval.
- Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize the design and minimize futile work.
- Prepare bill of quantities.
