Job Description

Due to the opening of our newest school, GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar, we are seeking to recruit an outstanding Primary Teacher to join our founding team in January 2027.

GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar is the newest addition to the successful GEMS Founders family, havingopened its doors in August 2026. Built on the 10-year legacy of the Founders brand, the school will deliver a high-quality British education following the National Curriculum for England, initially welcoming students from FS1 to Year 8 and expanding year-on-year towards becoming a full FS1–Year 13 school.

This is a unique opportunity to join a founding team and play a key role in shaping the culture, curriculum and future success of a brand-new school community. As one of the first educators at GEMS Founders School – Nad Al Hamar, you will have the opportunity to establish strong foundations, contribute ideas, develop innovative learning experiences and help create an exceptional environment where students can thrive from the very beginning.

Our Primary School has been designed with young learners in mind, with spacious classrooms, dedicated STEAM labs, Art and Music rooms, sports facilities and outdoor spaces all forming part of the purpose-built campus. Alongside the core curriculum, pupils have opportunities to take part in theme days, educational visits, special events and leadership activities, giving them plenty of ways to learn beyond the classroom. Arabic, Islamic Studies and UAE Social Studies are also an important part of the Primary experience, helping children develop an understanding and appreciation of the culture around them.

Skills Description

What we are looking for:

• Bachelors of Education (B.Ed) or relevant Bachelor's degree with a recognised PGCE and QTS.
• Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with a genuine passion for supporting younger learners and a commitment to developing their practice within a supportive school environment.
• A Primary Teacher with a genuine passion for working with young learners and creating positive, engaging learning experiences.
• Strong knowledge of effective teaching, assessment and differentiation strategies to support the progress and achievement of all students.
• A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued, is encouraged to build confidence and is supported to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills, with a positive approach to working with colleagues, students and the wider school community.
