Principal Data Engineer, Financial Services

This role is pivotal in designing, building, and optimizing data platforms to support advanced analytics and drive data-driven decision-making across the company. You will be working with cutting-edge technologies to architect and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and high-performance data architectures.
• Build and manage complex ETL/ELT workflows to ensure seamless ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data.
• Utilize cloud platforms and tools, particularly Snowflake and Databricks, to develop scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Implement and maintain best practices in data quality, security, and governance to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Required Technical skills:

• Proficient in Snowflake and Databricks, with hands-on experience in setting up and optimizing these platforms.
• Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building data lakes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Prior experience in leading offshore teams would be advantageous
