Job Description

2. JOB PURPOSE:

  • Ensuring the entire product organization is aligned on the product vision, strategy and goals. Making sure the team is prioritizing and building the right features that provide value to customers and relevant stakeholders.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Specify and articulate company's product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.
  • Drive strategic product and technology activities to maintain competitive advantage and market relevance.
  • Establish and communicate clear product goals, KPIs, and success metrics to all stakeholders.

Roadmap Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a customer-centric product roadmap through close collaboration with Technology, UX/UI, and Business (Go-to-Market) teams.
  • Ensure the product roadmap reflects both short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Prioritize and sequence development activities to optimize resource utilization and delivery timelines.

Product Delivery and Lifecycle Management:

  • Be accountable for product delivery in line with the roadmap and committed delivery dates, ensuring timely and high-quality releases.
  • Develop and continuously improve product requirements to meet evolving goals, success metrics, and use cases.
  • Act as an escalation point for both the team, and for internal and external stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization:

  • Ensure use of best practices, templates and ways of working across the Product team and foster an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Continuously monitor, optimize, and enhance the configuration, features, and functionalities related to the product.
  • Use objective market data sources, user feedback, and analytics to drive product improvements and minimize user friction.
  • Implement A/B testing, usability testing, and other validation techniques to validate hypotheses and iterate on product features.

Market and User Research:

  • Conduct market research and user research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and user needs.
  • Utilize research findings to inform product strategy, feature prioritization, and roadmap adjustments.
  • Engage with customers and end-users to gather insights and feedback, fostering a customer-centric approach to product development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Foster strong working relationships with all departments, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, and Operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and issues, ensuring timely resolution and communication.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of product initiatives, ensuring alignment and collaboration.

4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Internal: All departments
  • External: Clients, vendors, agencies and partners.

5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required – preferred focus in engineering, business, economics, marketing or related fields

Minimum Experience:

  • 7+ years of related work experience including product management, product design, or any related field

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in product management, including developing product strategies, roadmaps, and managing product lifecycles.
  • Proficiency in using product management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms for managing product backlogs, user stories, and development tasks.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms and platform integration.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM; certification as a SCRUM Master is preferred.
  • Good understanding of user interface design and usability principles.
  • Experience with UX/UI design, including customer journeys and conversion funnels.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar for wireframing, prototyping, and collaborating with design teams.
  • Ability to prioritize user experience and implement design thinking practices.
  • Ability to understand product and commercial needs, translate into functional and technical requirements, and effectively communicate with the development team
  • Good understanding of user interface design and usability, UX/UI (customer journeys, conversion funnels), and prioritize great user experience
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools to track product performance and inform decision-making.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to problem-solving to support decision making
  • Experience in managing and mitigating risks related to product development and delivery
