About the Role

P&G is seeking a top Principal Scientist -Chemistry SME & AI Work Process Transformation to lead the next generation of AI-enabled Product Discovery.

The Principal Scientist - Chemistry SME & AI Work Process Transformation will define and lead the transformation of Product Discovery through the convergence of Computational Chemistry, AI, Modeling, and Digital Twins, creating the future operating model for innovation at P&G.

This role is for a recognized scientific leader who combines deep chemistry expertise with advanced AI, modeling, and digital twins to redefine how innovation is created. You will establish a data-first and mechanism-guided discovery strategy, develop AI-for-Science capabilities, and transform scientific work processes to accelerate product discovery, improve decision quality, and unlock breakthrough consumer innovations.

As a technical thought leader, you will shape the future of scientific discovery by integrating computational chemistry, physics AI, and digital technologies into scalable innovation systems that deliver business impact across multiple categories and organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead AI-Enabled Scientific Transformation

• Define and drive the future-state work process for AI-enabled Product Discovery
• Transform traditional experimentation into predictive, model-driven decision making
• Champion data-first and AI-first approaches across scientific innovation workflows

Develop AI for Science Capabilities

• Build and deploy advanced AI models that accelerate molecular, ingredient, formulation, and product discovery
• Advance applications of Generative AI, Foundation Models, Physics AI, Knowledge Graphs, and Autonomous Discovery
• Create reusable scientific capabilities that scale across businesses and platforms

Advance Computational Sciences

Develop hybrid Physics + AI approaches that improve prediction, understanding, and innovation speed.

Serve as a technical authority in:

• Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation
• Computational Chemistry
• Chemoinformatics
• Physics AI
• Multi-scale Modeling
• Digital Twins

Influence Strategy and Capability Building

• Shape enterprise-wide technical strategy for AI-enabled discovery
• Build partnerships across science, engineering, data science, and digital organizations
• Mentor scientists and digital talent while driving thought leadership internally and externally

Qualifications

Education

PhD in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Data Science, or related disciplines.

Experience

• 8 years+ relevant experience as SME and in a technical leadership role in MNC, R&D environment
• Proven track record of scientific leadership and transformational innovation
• Deep expertise in chemistry and computational sciences
• Experience applying AI and advanced modeling to solve complex scientific problems
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical strategy and deliver enterprise-scale impact
