Role responsibilities:
- As Principal Structural Engineer you will be working as part of a team to lead projects through all lifecycle stages in the design phase of the project
- Interact with all project role players (including clients, professional teams, contractors) and other stakeholders.
- Monitor, control and report on project progress against cost, design, schedule, and scope baselines;
- Track and report on project financials and financial performance, including preparing expenditure forecasts;
- Develop and maintain project plans, records, reports, schedules, documentation, and filing;
- Timeously identify and report on risks and issues and proactively respond in addressing them;
- Adhere to and implement all internal quality control and management procedures
- Proactively monitor and report on health and safety issues in the work environment and promote a culture of safe working practices and safety awareness among others
To be successful you will have:
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Structural Design Engineer in buildings with at least 5 years experience in the Middle East.
- Registered Practicing Engineer with Abu Dhabi Municipality and holds Unlimited Dubai Municipality License is preferred.
- Strong technical capability with reinforced concrete, structural steel, precast and post-tensioned structures.
- Have broad Project Management knowledge with experience in applying common project management processes, methods, techniques, and tools on projects.
- Experience with construction engineering and Contractor Design & Build projects including on site supervision roles
- Deep experience working with a multi-disciplinary project team and holds a sound understanding of different team roles, responsibilities, and relationships.
- Ability to operate independently leading projects and function well as part of a team.
- Software proficiency in MS Office, ETABS, StatiCa, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM Concept, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7, REVIT, Rhino, and PROKON.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of good Client Management
