Director – Private Wealth & Alternative Investments | Abu Dhabi & Jeddah

Locations: Abu Dhabi and Jeddah

Salary: US$240,000–300,000 base + bonus + benefits

Two separate Director-level appointments

Shawfield & Sloane is exclusively supporting a leading global alternative investment manager in the appointment of two Directors, one based in Abu Dhabi and one in Jeddah, to expand its private wealth distribution capabilities across the GCC.

We are seeking established senior private banking and wealth management professionals with substantial, personally developed UHNW and family office relationships and a proven ability to originate investment opportunities and raise capital.

These are senior, commercially focused appointments offering the opportunity to join an established global investment platform with a diversified offering across private equity, private credit, real estate and other alternative investment strategies.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Senior Private Banking Experience: Significant experience in private banking, wealth management or private wealth distribution, ideally at Director level or equivalent.
• Substantial Personal Investor Book: An established and active portfolio of UHNW clients, prominent families and family offices. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the approximate size of their book and the depth of their direct relationships.
• Proven Capital Raising: Experience personally originating and securing investment commitments, ideally into alternative investment funds or other investment products.
• Direct Investor Access: Strong relationships with investors who have the financial capacity and appetite to allocate capital to alternative investments.
• Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated success in originating new relationships, developing existing client accounts and converting opportunities into completed investments.
• Regional Expertise: Deep knowledge of the private wealth landscape and established investor relationships in the relevant market.

Location-Specific Requirements

ABU DHABI

We are particularly interested in candidates who offer:

• A strong private banking or private wealth management background.
• A substantial personal book of Abu Dhabi-based UHNW clients and family offices.
• Established relationships with prominent Emirati families, business owners and influential local investors.
• Demonstrable experience placing investment products or raising capital from private wealth clients.
• Emirate nationals with relevant experience and established Abu Dhabi investor networks are particularly encouraged to apply.

JEDDAH, SAUDI ARABIA

We are specifically seeking candidates who offer:

• Established Director-level private banking experience, with the seniority to originate and manage significant investor relationships independently.
• A substantial, personally developed Saudi UHNW and family office client book, ideally concentrated in Jeddah and the Western Region.
• A proven record of originating new private wealth business and securing investment fund subscriptions.
• Long-standing relationships with Saudi families, entrepreneurs and private investors.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi investment landscape and the ability to leverage existing relationships to raise capital.

For Jeddah, a predominantly corporate banking background without substantial private banking experience will not meet the requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and raise capital from UHNW individuals, family offices and private wealth investors.
• Develop and expand the firm's investor relationships across the relevant market.
• Introduce clients to investment opportunities across private equity, private credit, real estate and other alternative investment strategies.
• Identify investors with the appetite and capacity to make meaningful capital commitments.
• Build long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and influential families.
• Work closely with investment and product specialists to deliver tailored investment solutions.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the firm's GCC private wealth distribution platform.

Who This Role Is Not Suited To

These are senior private wealth fundraising appointments, not traditional investment management or corporate banking positions.

Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily in corporate lending, investment analysis, portfolio management, trading or institutional client servicing, without a substantial personal private wealth investor book, are unlikely to be suitable.

We are also not seeking junior relationship managers who have yet to establish their own meaningful client relationships.

Compensation

US$240,000–300,000 annual base salary, plus performance-related bonus and benefits.
