Private Banking Officer

Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist in the proactive development of existing client relationships
- Manage the on boarding of clients introduced by Private Bankers
- Undertake client-related initiatives and projects as and when required
- Join and lead business development initiatives, attend client meetings and social events which will on occasions be outside normal office hours.
- Prepare investment recommendations and all supporting documentation for existing and potential clients within the closely regulated regime
- Prepare and participate in client periodic reviews, incorporating annual investment and lending reviews where appropriate
- Support the Private Banker in renewal of existing lending business, liaising with the client, lending team and PB to ensure successful credit approval attained prior to expiry.
- Collect all relevant supporting information and documentation to assist with preparation of credit proposals for existing and potential clients.
- Act as a secondary contact for clients, maintain a high level of service in relation to banking, investments, fiduciary and credit: to include cross selling other services offered by the Bank
- Undertake such other tasks as the bank may require from time to time
- Comply with the provisions of the Bank's ongoing Training and Competence policy
- Obtain and maintain relevant professional qualifications to undertake the role in line with prevailing regulation
- Undertake continuous professional development to keep up to date with developments within the industry and comply with the provisions of the Bank's ongoing Training and Competence policy
Qualifications
- Working towards or attained a level 4 Investment qualification appropriate for the role and that meets current regulatory standards Desirable.
Technical Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in banking or financial services, with a particular emphasis on client service and relationship management.#
- Good level of written and oral communication skills enabling effective contact at all levels both internal and external.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks
- Good level of skill in the use of standard Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced environment.
