Position Summary
The Government Relations Officer is responsible for managing all government-related processes and documentation for Capital Motion, including visa applications, labor permits, trade licenses, permits, and regulatory compliance. The role ensures timely coordination with government authorities and supports HR and administrative functions by facilitating smooth employee onboarding, renewals, and legal documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Visa Immigration Services
- Coordinate with HR and employees for new visa applications, renewals, cancellations, and status changes.
- Liaise with government departments (e.g., MOHRE, Immigration, DED) to ensure timely processing.
- Monitor visa expiry dates and maintain accurate records of employee documentation.
- Support onboarding by ensuring timely issuance of Emirates ID, medical tests, and labor contracts.
Regulatory Compliance License Renewals
- Ensure company compliance with UAE labor laws, immigration regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Manage renewals of all types of licenses including trade licenses, tenancy contracts (Tawtheeq), Civil Defense certificates, Hassantuk registration, and other legal documents.
- Handle all dealings with relevant government entities such as DED, Municipality, Civil Defense, Ministry of Interior, and others.
- Apply for and renew operational permits required for business activities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government procedures and policy changes.
Employee Support
- Assist employees with visa-related queries and documentation.
- Coordinate with HR for onboarding schedules and ensure all legal documents are processed.
- Support internal transfers and ensure legal compliance during role changes.
Documentation Reporting
- Prepare and submit required forms and applications to government entities.
- Maintain organized records of all government transactions and employee legal files.
- Generate reports on visa status, renewals, and compliance metrics.
Administrative Coordination
- Support HR with insurance documentation and claims related to government processes.
- Assist in arranging employee accommodations and coordinating with relevant authorities.
- Ensure timely procurement and renewal of company stationery, stamps, and legal forms.
Communication Liaison
- Represent Capital Motion in all government-related matters and maintain professional relationships with officials.
- Attend meetings or appointments at ministries, immigration offices, and other government bodies as required.
- Provide updates to HR Admin Manager on pending applications and legal matters.
Qualifications
Education: Diploma or bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a PRO or government liaison role, preferably in hospitality or F B.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor and immigration laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and government portals (e.g., MOHRE, ICP)
