As a Proactive Monitoring Specialist Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of monitoring specialists. You will oversee the monitoring and analysis of system performance, identify potential issues, and take proactive measures to mitigate any risks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of our clients IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Proactive Monitoring Specialists, ensuring their training and development needs are met
- Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems and infrastructure using monitoring tools and techniques
- Analyze system logs and alerts to identify potential issues and vulnerabilities
- Take proactive measures to ensure system performance, availability, and security
- Create and maintain documentation for monitoring procedures and processes
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Recommend and implement improvements to monitoring tools and processes for continuous enhancement
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in proactive monitoring
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Proactive Monitoring Specialist or similar role
- Prior experience in leading or managing a team of monitoring specialists
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and techniques, such as Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Experience in analyzing system logs and alerts to identify potential issues
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
