Job Brief:
A reputable organization in the water treatment sector is seeking aProcess Engineerwith hands-on experience in water and wastewater treatment projects. The role focuses on pre-sales and post-sales process engineering activities, including tender review, process design, costing, proposal preparation, and technical support to the sales and engineering teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review RFQs and tenders, send technical queries to customers, and understand the overall bidding process.
- Finalize process designs based on design criteria and project requirements.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost sheets, and detailed quotations; review and discuss the same with the Sales Manager and/or Sales Engineer.
- Ensure proposals and quotations are issued in line with company standards and requirements.
- Select fabricators, manufacturers, and suppliers to minimize costs and improve profitability in line with company goals.
- Maintain strong knowledge of local fabricators for the fabrication of tanks, vessels, clarifiers, DAF units, and related equipment.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of manufacturers and suppliers for water and wastewater treatment components.
- Support the sales team by preparing technical specifications and documentation for consultants and clients.
- Prepare preliminary control philosophies for finalized process schemes.
- Prepare technical submittals as required for projects.
- Coordinate closely with the engineering team during both pre-sales and post-sales activities.
- Maintain and regularly update the database of project approvals and reference projects.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to take on any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies.
- Hands-on experience with applications such asdomestic water treatment, Legionella treatment, STP, ETP, lagoon and pool water treatment, and HVAC-related water systems.
- Strong analytical thinking with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Self-starter with an ambitious, self-motivated, and positive attitude.
- Ability to work as a team player, quick learner, and resourceful professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and work ethics.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, Salesforce, and ERP systems (IFS preferred).
