Process Engineer

Job purpose:

• A process engineer is mainly responsible for the processing cost in the contract review cycle, manufacturing processing standardization, improvement, and blocker killing on the shop floor.

Key Accountabilities:

• Routing and process time calculation in the inquiry quotation stage.
• Updating speeds on the processing databases and highlighting deviations.
• Following technical office modifications and updating corresponding routings and process times.
• Supporting the costing department. In having a clear, quick, and full report in the daily contract review cycle.
• Arranging with software development engineers to develop specific points in currently used programs to save the time of getting information from the tech office and achieve high quality (with the circulating section head).
• Living with the production dept. In the cable manufacturing process, to be able to highlight the places where there are development chances in either increasing speeds or decreasing setup and stoppage times, which reflects well on Time, cost, and quality.
• Executing machine calibration as per plan to identify the actual outputs and comparing them with specs to be able to highlight the deviation and inform concerned depts.
• Following enhancements that happen on machines and studying the effect of these enhancements on machine speed and machine outputs.
• Participating in production trials for completely new products or developments in any of the cable stages and also in approving new suppliers.
• Revising sales standard lists, updating them, and extending them regularly.
• Processing data sheet information updates.
• Maintaining existing standard operating procedures and creating ones for new machines/equipment.

Qualifications & Education:

• Education: Faculty of Engineering – (Industrial, Production, Mechanical, and Communication )
• Years of Experience: 3 years at least
• Language: English
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Technical competencies:

• Using Java, Oracle, ADVARIS, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
• Analyze any mathematical equations.
• Knowledge and information about machines to improve efficiency
• Ability to manipulate machine parameters to achieve the target cost
• Standardize processing parameters
