Job Purpose:
Operates and maintains the plant equipment to meet the company production objectives in a safe, cost-effective and reliable manner, aligned with the day-to-day operating plans and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs the process and activities may include but not limited to:
- Comply with EHS policies and procedures. Applies risk control measures to ensure work activities are carried out safely.
- Takes responsibility for the safety of all personnel entering the assigned work area in line with all safety precautions,
- practices and procedures. Reviews all new procedures with console operator to ensure safe methods are applied.
- Recognizes unsafe acts and takes corrective action.
- Safely and correctly operates plant equipment in order to achieve production objectives in line with day-to-day
- operating plans and quality objectives.
- Assist in basic frontline maintenance, process sampling and testing.
- Assist in basic troubleshooting during all modes of operation, including process upset conditions
- Assist in preparing process equipment and work areas for mechanical, maintenance and turnaround works.
- Monitoring the performance of plant equipment and process conditions, reading flow meters and temperature and
- pressure gauges, and taking routine readings on process variables
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures for process operations.
- Maintains close communication with his shift leader and head operator to keep all parties aware of activities and status.
- Develops and utilizes knowledge to perform hazard identification and mitigation for effective and safe preparation
- equipment for handover to Maintenance.
- Follow up and implement weekly PM/CM maintenance schedule.
- Participates in Job Safety Analysis
- Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee
- employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental
- attitude.
- Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
- Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
- Performs any other relevant task as directed by Shift Leader.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
- governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively
- present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Qualifications:
- Academic Qualification: Holds Diploma degree.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in operation.
