Title: Process Safety Engineer

Project Type: Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, EPC, PMC

Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate process safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA), including scope definition, node selection, documentation, and action closure.
• Ensure process safety is embedded across PDP, FEED, and DEP phases, applying inherently safer design principles and safeguarding hierarchy.
• Review and validate relief, flare, overpressure, and hazardous area concepts in line with API 521 and international standards.
• Develop and review Process Safety Design Philosophy and verify protection layers (instrumented, procedural, mechanical).
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and reviewing licensor/vendor deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Formal training or certification in Process Safety is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or chemical processing environments.
• Proven handson experience delivering projects across PDP, FEED, and DEP phases is required.
