Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 57 years of experience in the Oil and Gas / Petrochemical Industry in Process Engineering
Task Description:- Investigate and resolve production issues identify root causes and implement corrective actions to improve process reliability.
- Seek continuous improvement opportunities, introduce new technologies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of technical processes optimize operations and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with production, QA, and maintenance teams to meet shared objectives.
- Develop and enhance monitoring tools to assess yields, quality, flow rates, catalyst productivity, and equipment performance.
- Provide practical solutions for plant upsets and operational issues update related documents and procedures.
- Conduct plant walkthroughs to identify abnormalities and propose improvements to the Lead Process Support Engineer.
- Develop and oversee engineering package designs and coordinate with Operations Specialists for plant changes.
- Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Management of Change (MOC) evaluate recommendations for feasibility and safety.
- Contribute to project framing, develop scope and packages for plant modifications and turnarounds.
- Required expertise in Process Unit Simulator Modelling for troubleshooting.
- Train and mentor junior team members develop training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Support equipment inspections and provide engineering recommendations.
- Conduct process risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate hazards.
- Align process improvements with customer requirements seek feedback for enhanced satisfaction.
- Use data analysis tools to monitor performance, generate reports, and drive improvements.
- Conduct thorough root cause investigations using methods like 5 Whys implement corrective actions.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and track budget adherence.
- Coach and mentor junior team members to foster their growth.
- Ensure all work complies with company policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
- Implement policies, systems, and controls in alignment with Q-Chem standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Maintain documentation of processes and participate in audits to uphold compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all QHSSE regulations and internal procedures.
- Lead initiatives to minimize environmental impact and eliminate safety events through engineering solutions.
- Prepare accurate and timely Process Engineering reports to support decision-making.
- Monitor process unit KPI metrics and take corrective actions as needed.
- Provide progress updates to the Lead Process Support Engineer, Process Engineering Superintendent, and Technical Manager.
