Job Purpose & Role
Job Summary: The Procure to Pay (P2P) Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end procure-to-pay process across multiple teams and locations. This role ensures that all procurement activities—from sourcing and purchasing to invoice processing and payment—are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company policies and strategic objectives. The P2P Leader will manage, mentor, and develop a team of Procure to Pay Officers, drive process improvements, and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to optimize supply chain performance in the oil & gas services sector.
Job Description
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Procure to Pay Officers, setting clear goals and monitoring performance.
- Allocate workload, ensure balanced task distribution, and provide ongoing training and support.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement.
Process Management & Optimization
- Oversee the full procure-to-pay cycle, ensuring compliance with company standards, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as on-time delivery, cost savings, and process cycle times.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring performance and compliance.
- Lead supplier evaluation, performance monitoring, and risk mitigation activities.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Logistics, and other departments to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Resolve escalated issues related to purchase orders, deliveries, invoice discrepancies, and payments.
System & Data Management
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date procurement records in ERP systems (preferably SAP).
- Drive data quality initiatives and leverage analytics for decision-making.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit requirements, and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other streams, Supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. OR Masters/MBA from ranked university in Egypt [ prferably AUC, GUC, AimShams, Cairo University, AAST ]
- Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Certifications such as Certified International Supply Chain Professional (CISCP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or related fields, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven experience managing teams and complex procurement processes in the oil & gas or similar industry.
- Strong ERP knowledge (preferably SAP).
