Role Information

Position Title: Procurement & Contracts Specialist

Department: Shared Services

Reports to: Procurement & Contracts Manger

Direct Reports: NA (Standalone Position)

Role Description

The Procurement and Contracts Specialist will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role is essential in enhancing procurement efficiency and aligning with the organization's operational and strategic goals.

Role Accountabilities

Support Procurement Activities: Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.

Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain and foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal performance. Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to drive improvements.

Contract Management: Assist in the negotiation and drafting of contracts, ensuring all terms are favorable and compliant.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, regulations, and best practices. Conduct risk assessments related to supplier performance and procurement practices.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.

Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with finance, operations, and other departments to understand their procurement needs and support strategic initiatives. Provide guidance and training on procurement policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2-4 years of experience in procurement or contract management.

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
