Procurement Cum Accountant

Job Summary
We are looking for a Procurement Cum Accountant to manage the company's purchasing activities while also supporting day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, negotiation abilities, and a good understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Handle the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, quotations, purchase orders, and delivery follow-ups.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, and reliability.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Maintain and update the supplier database and procurement records.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, office supplies, and other company requirements.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Maintain proper documentation for all purchases and vendor transactions.
Accounting & Finance
- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Verify supplier invoices and ensure they match purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Assist with bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of expenses and payments.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and supplier payments.
- Assist with monthly financial reports and closing activities.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records for audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and financial policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement and accounting or a similar combined role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in the UAE is preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and basic tax requirements is an advantage.
