Job Summary:
The Procurement Director-Non Technical is responsible for leading and overseeing all procurement and sourcing activities to ensure cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and timely delivery. The role focuses on strategic supplier partnerships, governance, and value creation while supporting the company's real estate development and operational objectives.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Governance:
- Develop and implement the overall procurement strategy aligned with the company's business and development plans.
- Establish procurement policies, procedures, and approval frameworks to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Ensure ethical sourcing and adherence to internal controls and governance standards.
Supplier & Contract Management:
- Lead supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key vendors, consultants, and service providers.
- Oversee contract negotiations, renewals, and performance management to maximize value and mitigate risk.
Cost Management & Value Creation:
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Monitor procurement budgets and spending to ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, savings, and value-added partnerships.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Development, Projects, Finance, Legal, Operations, and Asset Management teams to support business needs.
- Ensure procurement plans are aligned with project timelines and operational requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement-related matters.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Identify procurement-related risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.
- Handle escalations related to suppliers, disputes, or performance issues.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team.
- Set clear objectives, performance standards, and development plans for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 12-15 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Proven experience in a senior procurement leadership role, preferably within real estate, construction, hospitality, or large project-based organizations.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier governance.
- Solid commercial and financial acumen with experience managing large budgets and contracts.
- Good understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to balance cost, quality, and business needs.
