Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services for multiple projects. The role ensures timely procurement in line with project specifications, budgets, and schedules while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain optimal commercial and technical terms.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and purchase orders in accordance with project requirements.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure accurate procurement of materials and services.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, logistics, and site teams to ensure timely delivery of procured items.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, and compliance with quality and contractual requirements.
- Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, delivery notes, and vendor records.
- Support cost control initiatives by tracking procurement costs and identifying savings opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and local regulations.
- Assist in resolving procurement-related issues, claims, and disputes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement within construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments.
- Strong understanding of technical procurement, BOQs, specifications, and contract terms.
- Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
