Job Description

Objective:

We're looking for a Procurement Engineer responsible for overseeing the procurement or purchasing of technical goods and services to provide effective and efficient services to meet the needs of the company for its ongoing projects.

Job Duties:

Prepare proposals, request quotes, and negotiate purchase terms and conditions.

Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns.

Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings.

Review project Specs and scope of work, and locate potential vendors and subcontractors.

Conduct bidding meetings and price negotiations.

Evaluate technical and financial proposals.

Establish and negotiate contract terms and payment conditions.

Prepare procurement plans and periodic reports.

Evaluate new and existing suppliers and subcontractors and negotiate purchase agreements with them.

Procures equipment, materials, and systems complying with the project quality and specification requirements.

Procures materials and subcontracts promptly within the approved budget cost.

Ensures on-time delivery of equipment and materials to the support site installation works as per the approved work program.

Ensure compliance with management-approved procedures and policies concerning time, cost, and quality.

Prepare documentation for internal processes as per ISO standards.

Excess materials from sites shall be returned to central stores every month.

Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Maintain company reputation and credibility through fair dealings and prompt payment.

Generate PO for services and materials.

Conduct vendor evaluation and registration.

Job Requirements & Needed Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience in the industrial background is a must; pressure vessels, oil, and gas are highly preferred.

2-5 years of related experience.

Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies

Time management and organization skills.

Detail-oriented & ability to multitask.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Fast worker with the ability to work well under stress.

Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
